CNC Milling
Expac Machining is able to draw on decades of experience in machining a wide range of materials common in NZ industry. From steels , cast iron , brass , aluminum , tool steels , stainless steels, alloy castings , engineered plastics and also machining hardened components to tight tolerances.
We are experienced in manufacturing jigs and fixtures for efficient machining processes. We work with our customers to achieve the results they expect and their satisfaction is our main goal.
All quantities are accepted from one off prototypes to production runs. We specialize in urgent machine part repairs and remanufacturing, where a customer has a piece of plant or equipment fail and requires an urgent response, we provide the expertise and solutions to get production running again.
CNC Lathe
CNC Lathe machining and turning allows for highly precise machining and finishing of components to tight tolerances. CNC turning is suitable for rapid prototypes, new product introduction and low or high volume production. The parts produced are consistently identical in dimensions and finish.
Typical materials machined are steels ,cast iron , brass and bronze , aluminum, tools steels , stainless steels , alloy castings ,engineered plastics and also hard turning components to tight tolerances.
Expac Machining has the versatility to turn a wide range of components from small complex parts like custom fasteners, to large heavy duty items such as cast SS pump impellers and shafts.
General Engineering and Welding
Parts design
Expac has the capability to design 2d and 3d parts, we have access to programs like AutoCAD and Draftsight to deal with several different file extensions like .dxf or .dwg. We can either design and draw from scratch (from paper) or amend your existing design to improve or modify. You may have designed the part but we can tell where to improve that it won’t fail or it last long, this comes from years and years of experience in myriad different industries.
